In 2015, Japan Inbound worked with a number of agencies in Japan to produce text and image content to promote inbound tourism.
We worked with a Japanese consulting company hired by the Shikoku Transport & Tourism Bureau to recruit foreign nationals who participated in cultural and adventure activities in Shikoku. These included cycling the Shimanami Kaido in Ehime, rafting in Oboke, Kochi, and staying in the Iya Valley in Tokushima, sea kayaking in Mitoyo, Kagawa, and researching a tour of castles in each prefecture of Shikoku. The deliverables included mixed groups of reliable foreign nationals, and detailed, high-quality social media content. Japan Inbound worked flexibly and quickly with all parties involved.
Outside of Shikoku, Japan Inbound was invited to take part in a familiarization trip arranged by the Japan Shopping Tourism Organisation. We visited Okayama and Kurashiki for the opening of the Japan Shopping Festival. Japan Inbound produced short video reports and other social media content documenting the events.
Back in Shikoku, Japan Inbound was asked by JR Shikoku to produce a travel blog of the southwestern part of the island. We traveled widely over three days, documenting tourist spots, sake breweries, hotels and restaurants intensively.
