In 2016, Japan Inbound conducted a seminar on writing and photography for foreign tourism reporters, in Ritsurin Garden, Takamatsu. The seminar was part of a project run by the Shikoku Transport and Tourism Bureau.
The content of the talk included the basics of tourism writing, various types of cameras and editing software, photographic composition, and how to make a career out of tourism writing and photography in Japan.
The seminar participants were foreign residents from around the world who are involved in the #LoveShikoku social media program organized by the Shikoku Transport and Tourism Bureau. There’s a common belief that any foreigner can produce tourism content, but in fact, special skills are required. However, a seminar by Japan Inbound can go a long way to inculcating and improving skills.
