This year, Imabari District Tourism Association has introduced Instagram as a new category in their popular annual photo contest. Photos taken by contestants are used to promote Imabari tourism, appearing on websites, in pamphlets, and on a calendar.

Tourism reporter seminar
In 2016, Japan Inbound conducted a seminar on writing and photography for foreign tourism reporters, in Ritsurin Garden, Takamatsu. The seminar was part of a project run by the Shikoku Transport and Tourism Bureau.
Prizewinning photos
Photos by Japan Inbound’s Rod Walters have recently won prizes in regional photo contests, in Imabari and Seiyo. The winning photos showcase the scenery, people and festivals of Shikoku.
Magazine Cover Photos
Matsuyama Hyakuten is Matsuyama’s oldest free paper. On the occasion of the magazine’s 50th anniversary, Rod Walters was contracted to provide the cover photos for two years. The covers show Matsuyama’s scenery and festivals.
